Osman Yagan was born in Ankara, Turkey.  He received his B.Sc.  degree in electrical and electronics engineering from Middle East Technical University , Ankara, Turkey, in June 2007. He got his PhD from the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the  University of Maryland - College Park  in 2011. He is currently a postdoctoral research fellow at CyLab, Carnegie Mellon University. His current resarch is mainly on complex networks; e.g., information and influence propagation in social networks, robustness, security and optimal design of interdependent networks, and social network modeling.
