Biography

Mingyue Ji received the B.E. in Communication Engineering from Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (China), in 2006, the M.Sc. degrees in Electrical Engineering from Royal Institute of Technology (Sweden) and from University of California, Santa Cruz, in 2008 and 2010, respectively, and the PhD from the Ming Hsieh Department of Electrical Engineering at University of Southern California in 2015. He subsequently was a Staff II System Design Scientist with Broadcom Corporation (Broadcom Limited) in 2015-1016. He is now an Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at University of Utah.

He received the best paper award in IEEE ICC 2015 conference, the best student paper award in IEEE European Wireless 2010 Conference and USC Annenberg Fellowship from 2010 to 2014. He is interested the broad area of information theory, coding theory, concentration of measure and statistics with the applications of caching networks, wireless communications, distributed storage and computing, and (statistical) signal processing.
