Winter School of Information Theory
The 11th edition of the Winter School of Information Theory will be held Monday, March 14th, through Friday, March 18, 2011, at UPF in Barcelona (Spain). The event, organized jointly by UPF and by CTTC, will offer graduate students and researchers the opportunity to learn from distinguished experts in information theory through short courses and talks, as well as the chance to present and discuss their own ongoing work.
This edition's instructors are Prof. Helmut Bolcskei (ETH Zurich), Prof. Gerhard Kramer (Technische Universitat München), Prof. Emre Telatar (EPFL Lausanne), Prof. Daniel P. Palomar (Hong Kong University of Science & Technology) and Prof. Baltasar Beferull-Lozano (Universitat de Valencia).
The IEEE Information Theory Society is the main sponsor of the 2011 Winter School. Additional funding has been provided by the Government of Catalonia (AGAUR Agency for Administration of University and Research Grants). The event is also supported by the Consolider-Ingenio Project "COMONSENS" and by the Master ASMT (Advanced Sciences of Modern Telecommunications).
