Short biography: Erwin Riegler received the Dipl-Ing. degree in Technical Physics (with distinction) in 2001 and the Dr. techn. degree in Technical Physics (with distinction) in 2004 from Vienna University of Technology. From 2005 to 2006, he was a post-doc at the Institute for Analysis and Scientific Computing, Vienna University of Technology. From 2007 to 2010, he was a senior researcher at the Telecommunications Research Center Vienna (FTW). From 2010 to 2014, he was a post-doc at the Institute of Telecommunications, Vienna University of Technology. From 2014 to 2019, he was a senior researcher at the Communication Theory Group, ETH Zurich, Switzerland. Since 2019, he is a senior researcher at the Chair for Mathematical Information Science, ETH Zurich, Switzerland.
