Code of Conduct and Ethics

The following statement reaffirms the Society's commitment to the IEEE Code of Conduct, IEEE Code of Ethics, and IEEE Nondiscrimination Policy.

Schools of Information Theory are short workshops aimed towards giving students an educational experience that will introduce them to new research frontiers in Information Theory.

An IEEE Information Theory Workshop (ITW) is typically a small gathering that focuses on topics related to information theory. Every edition of the workshop possesses a different theme or emphasis. The venue of the workshop changes from year to year, and there may be several editions of the workshop within a calendar year.

IT Society members may submit news and announcements to be distributed via the Society's mailing list, website and social media accounts. Items of interest include: conferences, job openings, awards, calls for papers, and requests for volunteers. All items should be of interest to the information theory community. Book announcements and promotion of for-profit journals are not suitable.
