Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (Troy, NY) is embarking on an ambitious expansion in Computational Sciences and Engineering research and education, with a focus on creating a research cluster in the area of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML).
The Department of Electrical, Computer, and Systems Engineering at Rensselaer encourages applications from outstanding candidates who will build upon our existing strengths in these areas. We seek candidates whose research programs will develop cutting-edge AI and ML theories, algorithms, hardware architectures, and applications. Applications of particular interest include, but are not limited to, information and signal processing, optimization, cyber-physical systems, image processing, computer vision, robotics, human-automation interaction, IoT and edge computing, and electric power systems.
