We are seeking a post doc candidate to work on advanced high-throughput coding for optical communication. The focus will be on fast forward error-correction (FEC). The applications include Data Center Interconnects and optical core networks. You will be conducting research on high-throughput, FEC for optical communication, striving for Tbit/s communication at output bit-error rates of 10 -15 and better. For high performance, you will conduct research in fast soft-decision (SD) FEC within a scheme of concatenated coding. The postdoc project will be part of the Innovation Fund Denmark INCOM project centred at DTU Fotonik.
Your Qualifications
Candidates should have a PhD degree or equivalent within coding for communication.
A strong background in coding for communication is required.
Experience with optical communication is not required.
