I am looking to hire a postdoctoral fellow in the areas of information
theory and error-correction coding. The position is in the Department
of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the University of Toronto,
Canada. Specific topics of interest include streaming data systems
with feedback, the use of techniques of convex optimization in
error-correction decoding, implementation of novel error-correction
techniques in hardware, and the application of insights from
information and coding theory to machine learning and computer
architecture. Research will be performed in collaboration with
myself, Prof. Stark Draper, and my research group.
The position is available immediately for one year; it can be extended
depending on the candidate's performance. Applicants should hold a PhD
in electrical engineering, computer science or mathematics, should
have a strong publication record in the above or related fields, and
should have excellent written and communication skills. To apply,
please send your resume and statement of research interests to me at
[email protected]. More information about my research group
and the Department can be found at
