Dear all,
I have two openings for PhD students in my group in the Electrical Engineering Department at the State University of New York at Buffalo (UB). One opening is in the fields of Network Information Theory, Network Coding, Index Coding and a second in the study of dimension reduction and "core-sets" in the context of Big Data analysis.
For both openings, I am looking for candidates with a solid undergraduate background in Probability, Combinatorics, Graph theory, Linear and Abstract Algebra and an interest in Information Theory and Network Communication.
The research to be conducted is theoretical and mathematical in nature.
If you are interested and possess the above skills, please email at [email protected] with your CV.
Please visit my homepage at http://www.acsu.buffalo.edu/~mikel/ and that of EE@UB http://engineering.buffalo.edu/electrical.html
With best wishes,
Mike.
