The Mathematical and Algorithmic Sciences Lab of the Huawei Paris Research Center is looking for candidates for permanent junior and senior research positions in the areas of channel coding and lattice coding for wireless and optical communications to commence this year. The research will aim at innovation in code constructions, encoding algorithms and decoding algorithms.
The main responsibilities will be:
- research and innovation in the area of channel and/or lattice coding with application to wireless and optical communications;
- theory exploration, advanced algorithm design, analysis, and simulation;
- generation of intellectual property and patent filing;
- collaboration with other business units for successful exploitation of research outputs;
- propose and publish research in major international conferences and journals;
- create and maintain strong collaborative associations with university-based researchers;
- contribute to the creative and innovative atmosphere at the Huawei Research Labs.
Candidates must have the ability to conduct independent research while also contributing to team-oriented projects that often span across multiple international Huawei research sites. Further, candidates are required to hold a PhD, have experience in coding or related areas, and to be fluent in spoken and written English language.
