The Technical University of Denmark offers a fully fonded PhD position. The position is part of the new Centre of Excellence in optical communication (SPOC) at DTU Fotonik funded by the Danish National Research Foundation and it will be part of the centre activities on Information Theroy, Capacity and Advanced Coding. The PhD project will involve studies of capacity and uncovering potentials for improving achievable rates for linear and nonlinear optical channels including regeneration techniques and analysis and design of novel schemes for approaching capacity in optical communication using signal processing and communication and information theory.
