The IEEE Information Theory Society page is a gathering point for information about the Society, its activities, resources for the research community, and the field in general. Most of the resources on the page are available to the public at large. However, access to some features of the page are restricted to registered users. In order to be a registered user of the site, you must be a member of the Information Theory Society . If you are a member, you can register for an account . There are several benefits to being a registered member. Once registered, you can:
- create a profile page with information about your society activities or awards,
- post announcements for events or news items ,
- join or manage your local IT Society chapter ,
- and contribute information about IT resources .
In the future we hope to add additional user-curated sites on sub-topics of interest to society members to help promote research within information theory and related areas.
We are working to continuously improve the site and its usefulness to our members. If you are interested in helping with those efforts, please consider joining the Online Committee .
