A postdoctoral position is available to work at QuTech in TU Delft on the classical postprocessing of quantum key distribution. The position is open within the context of an ambitious joint consortium with an industrial partner with the goal of designing the next generation of quantum key distribution devices.

In this position, your role will focus on the development of a full suite of algorithms for the postprocessing of quantum key distribution. This includes:

• Investigate novel distributed source coding methods specially adapted to the underlying source models.
• Join an interdisciplinary team of physicists, computer scientists, electrical and software engineers.
• Implement proof of concept versions of the different postprocessing algorithms
• Disseminate results and write scientific publications.

When

We will review applications on a rolling basis with a final deadline  May the 30th 2019 . The starting date is July the 1st 2019 (can be negotiated).

How

The position is a full-time postdoctoral position for 12 months with the possibility of extending it to 24 months. No background in quantum information is necessary.
