The Aaron D. Wyner Distinguished Service Award honors individuals who have shown outstanding leadership in —and provided long-standing exceptional service to — the Information Theory Community. Bruce Hajek is receiving the award for his longstanding contributions as an EiC, organizer of many conferences, chair of several key society committees and IEEE committees, and a leader of the IT society.
