The 2015 Munich Workshop on Information Theory of Optical Fiber (MIO 2015) will take place from Dec. 7-8, 2015 in Munich, Germany.

MIO 2015 follows on the successful workshop MIO 2014, and is the third in a series of 2015 Munich workshops that includes the Munich Workshop on Coding and Modulation (MCM 2015) held in July and the Munich Workshop on Massive MIMO (MMM 2015) held in October. The focus of MIO 2015 is on information theory, especially how fiber nonlinearities affect channel capacity, and on experimental work that leads to new insight on capacity.

The workshop is organized by the Technical University of Munich (TUM) Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) and the TUM Institute for Communications Engineering (LNT). Funding is provided by TUM-IAS, TUM-LNT, and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation.
